Demichelis: “In La Rosaleda we’ve got to be strong with our fans”
Málaga Club de Fútbol players, Apoño and Demichelis, spoke to the media in the Mixed Zone after the match against Real Madrid (3-2).
Statements:
Apoño “We had the first half sewn-up with strategy and by having the ball when we should. In the second half we made more mistakes but we carried on. We have played well and we were unlucky that they turned it around. With this result we can get a good result on La Rosaleda’s scoreboard to go through.”
“I felt good. There was good level, especially in the first half, and the team played a good game with a great first half, and if we can repeat that we could get through.”
Demichelis “There were two clear phases in the game. We’re leaving with the feeling that it was a bit of a shame because we had such a great first half and we weren’t able to repeat that. We must make some improvements and know that just one minute is enough for Madrid to score. We have to have confidence, learn, and play better in the next match.”
“At La Rosaleda we have to score, be strong with our public, and achieve what we did out there in the first half.”
“As a defender, scoring from the penalty area in a move like that is a great feeling and, personally, it gives me more confidence.”
