Defence-attack transitions and focus on finishing in today’s session

The Málaga CF squad was in training at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium today, following yesterday’s match against Celta de Vigo. Sandro wasn’t part of the session due to injury discomfort to his shoulder. There was an extensive presence from the MCF Academy.

The starting line-up from yesterday’s League match against Celta de Vigo underwent a recovery session with continuous running and a gym workout. The rest of the first team players trained on the pitch at the Ciudad de Málaga. Following the warm-up, the team focused on defence-attack transitions and finishing work. The session ended with a mini-match on a reduced-sized pitch.

MCF Academy players, Javi Cuenca (goalkeeper), Yousef, Kike Pina, Alberto, Santi, Mula, Kuki, Ontiveros and Luis Muñoz trained under the orders of Marcelo Romero.

Sandro wasn’t in training on the pitch at the Ciudad de Málaga due to injury discomfort to his shoulder, whilst Miguel Torres, who sustained a muscular injury to his right femoral biceps, was also absent. The Blue and Whites’ defender will undergo diagnostic tests on Wednesday.

Keko, Charles and Iván Rodríguez trained under the instruction of fitness trainer, Hugo Camarero. Weligton and Ricca remained in the gym. Kuzmanovic continues with his rehabilitation in Switzerland.

The squad has a day off tomorrow and will return to training on Wednesday at 10:30 at the Ciudad de Málaga.
