David Lombán, elite experience for the defence

The central defender, who signed to Málaga CF last Friday 14th September, will give his first press conference as a Blue and Whites’ player at La Rosaleda’s press room tomorrow from 12:00.

After spending the last five seasons in the First Division and accumulating more than 10,800 minutes in the top flight, David Lombán accepted Málaga CF’s proposal last Friday to join the Blue and Whites’ project.

Formed in the youth ranks of Valencia CF, he ended up playing five matches with the ‘Ché’ outfit. Following a spell in the Second Division, it was in 2013/14 when the defender moved to the First Division at the hand of Elche. Two years there, another two in Granada and last season in Eibar certify the experience of a defender who, even without standing out for his height, moves well upfront and has accumulated eight goals in the elite.

Lombán has arrived at La Rosaleda with the aim of supporting a defence that is becoming one of the foundations of success for López Muñiz’s team, and after five matches, is the team that has conceded the fewest goals.

His presentation to the media will take place this Tuesday at 12:00 at the Juan Cortés press room. Fans can follow live Lombán’s first day as a member of the Blue and Whites via the Club’s social networks.
