It was a sunny Sunday morning in Tenerife, and on the pitch at Argelio Tabares both teams arrived at this game with nine points following three victories and two defeats each.
Juanma opted for the following starting-11: Arrabal in goal; Encarni, captain Ruth, Mérida and Olmedo in defence; Félicité and Cortés on the double pivot, with Marilén and Torralvo on the wings; and Monterroso and Futu, in her first starting line-up of the season, on the attack.
The score remained equal in the first half until shortly after a water break in the 30th minute of play due to the heat.
