Cornejo scores with Spain’s Under 16s; Víctor and Samu draw with the Under 17s

Three players from MCF’s La Academia took part today, Thursday, in international friendlies with Spain. The forward, José Cornejo, with the Under 16s; and the defender, Víctor Ruiz, and the striker Samu Castillejo, with the Under 17s.

Spain drew against Bulgaria (0-0) in their second match in three days in Bulgaria as they prepare for the Ronda Élite which will take place in Georgia.  Victor played in defence in Santi Denia’s starting eleven and Samu Castillejo was brought on in the second half.

Spain beat Germany 4-1 at the Ciudad de Fútbol in Las Rozas (Madrid) in the second friendly against the Germans.   The Malaguista forward, Cornejo, who was selected to be in Julen Lopetegui’s line-up, scored the first goal in minute 10 and played the full 90 minutes.
