Big win at the Enrique Roca - Nueva Condomina (1-4)

MCF defeated Real Murcia CF on Primera Federación matchday 14. Genaro, Murillo, Dani Lorenzo and Roberto scored the Malaguista goals.

Málaga CF came up against Real Murcia CF this Sunday 26th November at the Enrique Roca - Nueva Condomina. Pellicer selected the following starting-11: Herrero; Gabilondo, Nelson Monte, Murillo, Dani Sánchez; Genaro, Manu Molina, Dani Lorenzo; Juan Hernández, Kevin Medina and Roberto.

The match got off to an intense start with a penalty awarded against the Blue and Whites due to a Nelson Monte hand ball. Despite coming from a very close rebound and trying to remove his arm, the referee awarded the maximum penalty. Iker Guarrotxena took to the spot and made it 1-0 with a powerful, tight shot into the top corner (2').

Sergio Pellicer's team didn’t take long to react. In the 4th minute, Roberto fell inside the local area after being brought down by a local defender, but the referee didn’t consider it enough. The team continued on the attack and, in the 9th minute, managed to go level. Juan Hernández served a great cross from the corner for Genaro to finish and put the score at 1-1 at the Enrique Roca - Nueva Condomina.

With the scoreboard now level, the team continued searching - without luck - for Manu García's goal. However, it was Pablo Alfaro's team that was close to taking the lead again. After half an hour of play, Iker Guarrotxena headed in a good cross from the right and Genaro had to work hard to get the ball out as it entered the goal.

Whereas for Málaga CF, it was Manu Molina who came close to scoring (35'). The midfielder took advantage of a pass on the edge of the area to make a powerful shot that deviated slightly off target.

The first half ended with several yellow cards and the injuries of Isi Gómez and Nelson Monte. The Real Murcia attacker had to leave the pitch on a stretcher and, after passing through the dressing room, Nelson Monte gave way to Einar.

The second half began with the same intensity as the first. Murillo took advantage of a great pass from Manu Molina to go 1-2 up in the 47th minute.

Once they had the advantage, the Blue and Whites stayed solid and waited for their moment. In minute 63, following a good individual action by Kevin Medina, Dani Lorenzo reached the small area and made it 1-3.

Málaga CF were very comfortable on the pitch and this was once again reflected on the scoreboard. Roberto, in the 66th minute, made the most of a local defensive imbalance and beat Manu García to make it 1-4 at the Enrique Roca - Nueva Condomina.

In the final stretch of play, Real Murcia sought to narrow the gap, while Málaga CF came out with quick transitions and counterattacks.

Local player, José Zorrilla was sent off in stoppage time after a challenge on Murillo, and the full-time result was 1-4 at the Murcia stadium.

With these three points, Málaga CF now have 28 points, in third place of Primera Federación Group 2.

The next league game is against Atlético Sanluqueño at La Rosaleda, on Saturday 2nd December at 20:00, corresponding to matchday 15.
