Contreras: “We’ll give everything for the shield”

The Malaguista coach analyses the run-up to the exciting Liga Iberdrola debut: “This team has to stay in the First Division”.

Excitement in the Liga Iberdrola

“I feel responsible for my words. When someone says what they think many times, sometimes it’s not quite right, depending on where you’re coming from. This team is going to compete in the First Division and Copa de la Reina. Last year our first game was against Polillas, and with all my respect to Polillas, this first match is against Atlético de Madrid, with all the repercussions that it will entail”.

Good wishes for the male team

“Just as the words will always remain, this year I say that this team has to remain in the First Division, as next season we’ll have the male team in the elite. We’re going to be bigger as a Club”.

Grateful to the fans

“Last year our fans played a key role in our success. Last season we started off with 20 parents and ended with 700 people supporting us in the promotion playoffs thanks to the help of not just the fans, but the people within the Club. Everyone in the offices, who works day to day with us and encourages people to come and support us, are all part of the fan base. The fans took care of me in Valencia, in Madrid, in Badajoz, but here the fans are really looking after us. We’ll give everything for the shield”.
