Málaga CF Femenino defeated Alhama CF ElPozo de Murcia, with a comeback included (3-2). The Blue and Whites came from 0-2 down to claim all three points thanks to goals from Ayano, Adriana and María Ruiz.
Storm Gloria let up for the match, allowing for a rain-free first half. The Blue and White defence put up a strong fight against the rival’s actions. Alhama attempted to approach Noelia’s goal without success. Clo tried her luck in minute 8 but the ball was deflected. The clearest chance was for Arantxa in 13’. The Malagueña made the most of the advanced position of goalkeeper, Mireya to launch at the target, however, the keeper managed to prevent the first goal. The match remained close between both teams during the first half. Nevertheless, Helena Torres put the Murcia team in front, and at half-time the Blue and Whites were 0-1 down.
María Ruiz was the first substitution for the Blue and Whites. She came on in the second half in place of Edna. Málaga neared the Alhama goal, but Marina Martí, in 48’, took advantage of a rebound to surpass Noelia and make it 0-2. The locals soon recovered and in 62’ Ayano narrowed the gap to 1-2. With no time to celebrate, Mireya fouled Cintia and Adriana converted from the penalty spot. Málaga were now level (2-2). José Herrera brought on new signing Gabi Morales, with the forward joining play in minute 70 in place of Arantxa. The Costa del Sol outfit still had a lot to say, and in 93’, Almáchar-born María Ruiz sealed the 3-2 home win with a superb goal. Victory for the Malaguistas and another three points in the pot.
