After several years of absence due to COVID-19, this traditional match returned to the Blue and White stadium, featuring a wonderful protagonist who always enjoyed this match with his inimitable enthusiasm. Jorge Ramos, sports journalist and ardent Malaguista follower who recently passed away, but who lives on in our memories.

During the match between the Club and the Press held at La Rosaleda Stadium, a minute's silence was held in memory of Jorge, his voice was heard singing each goal of both teams and the speaker emulated his classic ‘paró, paró, paró’ to each of the goalkeepers’ saves.

His son, Jorge Ramos Leiva (Press), and his nephew Javi Ramos (MCF), scored two emotional goals and collected the winner’s trophy and the runner-up medal at the end of the match, which ended in a 5-5 draw. In the penalty shootout, Málaga won by 5-4 thanks to a decisive final intervention by Antonio Utrera in goal.

Basti, De los Santos and Juanito, the most iconic forever team members, were in action against a wide representation from the Málaga sports press. After the game, everyone gathered in La Rosaleda Stadium’s VIP area with several live radio programs chronicling the Blue and Whites' triumph from the 11-metre mark.
