Málaga Femenino defeated Real Betis Féminas ‘B’, at the Francisco Romero, on matchday 7 of Segunda Federación Grupo Sur. All the Blue and White goals were scored in an extraordinary first half.
Following an even first 15 minutes, Futu appeared. A Marilén cross from the right was finished at close range by the number ‘11’ (1-0, 16’). Midway through the first half, the second goal arrived. Once again, Marilén, this time from the left, launched a perfect cross to set up an Olmedo header into goal (2-0, 22’).
The goal opportunities kept on coming for the Malagistas against a Betis unable to contain the MCFF onslaught. A spectacular assist from captain Ruth was headed into goal by Silvia Mérida to increase the lead even more (3-0, 38’).
Then, just before half-time, a great play by Torralvo assisted Futu to score the fourth (4-0, 45’). A brace by the ‘pichichi’ and her fourth of the season, scoring for three matches in a row thanks to her super high level of accuracy.
In the second half, Málaga reduced the pace slightly, against a dedicated Betis that hardly disturbed Arrabal’s goal. Although Juanma's girls continued to generate opportunities, especially from a tireless Sonia Torralvo, the scoreboard didn’t alter.
The ovation of the afternoon came in the 60th minute, with the departure of double goal scorer, Futu when she was replaced by Monterroso. Tati, cadete Carla, Bertuchi and Águeda also had minutes in the second half of the match.
A 4-0 victory for Málaga CF Femenino who continue to improve as the competition advances. The girls have 13 points and are in the top part of the table. The next league game is away from home next week against CFF Albacete.
