Chupe, Blue and White until 2028

The Atlético Malagueño striker renews his contract with the Malaguista entity for three more years, until the 2027/28 season, and will have a spot on the first team starting next season.

Málaga Club de Fútbol has unilaterally extended the contract of Carlos Ruiz Rubio, known in football as ‘Chupe’, for three more seasons, tying him to the Martiricos club. The young forward (from Córdoba, 2004), whose contract was set to end in June 2025, will receive a federative licence with the first team starting from the 2025/26 season.

Chupe made his debut this season with Málaga CF in LALIGA HYPERMOTION. It was on matchday 6 during the Granada-Málaga (2-2) clash held on 20th September 2024 at Nuevo Los Cármenes.

His first goal with MCF came during his debut at La Rosaleda, when he scored the decisive 1-1 in the 87th minute of the match against RC Deportivo, which was part of league matchday 22.

The 2024/25 season is proving to be extraordinary both individually and collectively for Chupe with Atlético Malagueño, the current leader of Group 9 in Tercera Federación. He is the top scorer of the competition, with more goals (18) than games played (17), under the management of Funes and Bravo.

Málaga CF keeps in its ranks the top scorer of Club Atlético Malagueño, a centre forward with an innate ability to find the back of the net and a great potential for footballing growth.

Congratulations, Chupe!
