Chavarría: “We're going to give our all to keep Málaga up”
The Malaguista attacker appeared this Thursday in the 'Juan Cortés' press room at La Rosaleda. “We can’t wait for the match to arrive, it’s going to be a fiesta and we’ll need everyone in order to win,” he said.
The Castro-Chavarría duo has scored a lot of goals. The strikers not only score, but also assist in many of the team's goals. The Argentinean said of the connection: “I feel very comfortable with Rubén, it’s very easy to understand his movements, he’s very intelligent. Thank God it’s been happening in recent games, long may it continue,” he explained.
Regarding his form, Pablo said that without a doubt “it’s my best moment in these three seasons, I have all Pellicer’s confidence and that makes me better. He needed continuity, I’m having it and I can be useful to the team,” he commented.
Chavarría is versatile, the player can operate very effectively at the point of attack and on the wing: “Let's hope the run continues. I’ve played in all attacking positions, and I can adapt. I feel very comfortable with this system. The coach is the one who decides every weekend what is going to be best in the game, and I adapt,” he added.
Regarding the team’s situation, the striker has a very clear vision: “Experience is everything, it shows in these situations. We come from behind from the beginning, the ones that have to worry are the teams that are higher up. We're going to give our all to keep Málaga up,” he stated.
The way to reverse the situation is clear: “As long as we win, the options will continue to exist. The first thing is to beat Huesca and then we'll see where we are. Those at the top have to worry about winning their matches as well,” Pablo said with confidence.
The fans travelled to Galicia en masse. A fact that excites but does not surprise Pablo, who knows Malaguismo well: “I wasn’t surprised by the fans’ reaction, I expected them to be like they’ve been all season. The reception there in Lugo was incredible, their support was amazing. We can’t wait for the match to arrive, it’s going to be a fiesta and we’ll need everyone in order to win,” he added.
