Cazorla: “We knew how to react in the second half”
Málaga Club de Fútbol players, Jesús Gámez, Eliseu, and Cazorla, spoke to the media in the Mixed Zone after the match between Getafe CF and Málaga CF (1-3).
Jesús Gámez “It’s very positive for us as it stops this bad run. We’ve given a strong sign that we can win away. There are many teams that are very close and by winning away we can stand out a little.”
“We got three incredible goals and I salute my teammates.”
“I had confidence in playing as the coach believed in me, and I responded well on the pitch.”
“It gives us a confidence boost to continue fighting for the top.”
Eliseu “Getafe squeezed a lot, being the great team they are, but what counts is that we got the win.”
“It was an important goal, but the really important thing is that we got the three points away – which is fundamental for the final League objectives.”
“I didn’t know whether to go right or left and in the end it turned out like this. The coach always wants us to shoot if possible and that’s what I did. I was glad to come off the bench and help out the team.”
Cazorla “It was very important because the team hasn’t had an away win in a while. It’s a morale boost. We knew that we were playing for our European aspirations and it turned out to be a difficult match, but we knew how to react in the second half.”
“We knew what we had to do in the second half, Getafe were playing comfortably and we had to stop that. The changes helped a lot. We all collaborated and achieved this victory.”
