Cazorla: "We can be a threat to Madrid, like we were in the Copa del Rey”
First team player Santi Cazorla, spoke to the media in Ciudad de Málaga Stadium’s press room, following today’s training session, Thursday 15th March.
Statements from Santi Cazorla:
(Three consecutive wins) “It’s been a great week for us, we’re in a high League position, which has given us a lot more confidence, following our three wins on the run, both in home and away games”.
(Real Madrid) “They’re a strong and difficult rival, but we’ve seen them play other teams, and our match in the Bernabéu in the Copa del Rey shows that we can be a threat to them. We know that we can beat them, and make it a more balanced game. Like every match we play, winning will be our priority, and we hope to take away something good from this match. We need to be brave and know that anything is possible”.
(Toulalan out of the line-up) “It’s important for the team, he’s a player who brings a lot of balance to a game. We hope he recovers soon”.
(Current objectives) “Our main aim is to defend our place in the League, and further strengthen our position with regards to Europe”.
(Winning at the Bernabéu) “I’ve been on the winning team before in the Bernabéu, with Recreativo de Huelva, it was a very special feeling. We’re aiming for the three points, and I hope to be victorious there again with Málaga”.
