Cazorla’s statements:
(2012). “An important year in which the team must do things properly. The objective is to fight for the European positions and it’ll be a great achievement to be able to get into these places.”
(Open training session). “It’s great, it’s always nice to have people’s warmth and kindness with us. A nice day out for the kids and I hope that the enjoyed the team. Here you don’t usually get the opportunity of seeing the people’s love, although you do in the national side. I really like it, there’s more atmosphere, more feeling, but they’re decision made by the Club and the boss and you have to respect that.”
(31st December – 1st January). “They’re complicated times, dinners at home with family and friends, but you know that the next day you have to get up early and train, and you can’t be too excessive:”
(Copa - Real Madrid). “With great excitement and convinced that it’ll be very difficult, but if the team’s at a good level we can take them on. Right now they’re the second best team in the world, for me after Barcelona, and they demonstrate that day after day. It’ll be a very complicated match and I hope that we can get a good result for the return match. I’ve played against Real Madrid in the League five or six times and I’ve scored four. In their ground, with the people on their side, we have to be very focussed and not slip up as it’ll cost us dearly. The team’s job is score goals and in the first match that’s fundamental.”
(Bajas Di María / Joaquín). “We think it’s favourable, but they also have other great players like Callejón. I’m sure they’ll feel Di María’s absence a little. They play how they play, and it’s going to be complex. We also have some important players out such as Julio – Baptista – who’s been away for a long time and now also Joaquín, who’s a fundamental player in terms of what he does for the team. We hope he’ll get back as soon as possible.”
(Euro2012). “For me it’s always a dream to play at events of this calibre, I was lucky enough to have played in the Eurocopa and I’ve now got to do well at Málaga and hope that I’m amongst the chosen ones at the end of the season.”
(Step by step). “You have to go step by step, we’re all thinking about Europe, but beyond that we must go day by day. We’ve got rivals like Atlético de Madrid, who are direct rivals, coming up, and they’re a great team with great players and we have to try and beat them at home.”
