Buonanotte: “Let’s hope that 2012 will be much better”
Málaga’s Argentinean striker, Diego Buonannote, was the Malaguista player who this Thursday spoke to the media in the Ciudad de Málaga stadium.
Buonanotte’s statements:
(Christmas). “They were a few special days with the family, now it’s back to training and to focus on the first ‘Copa del Rey’ match. I was in my town, with my family and friends; just a few days but they were pretty good.”
(Real Madrid). “In the Copa, we were drawn against a very difficult rival but we have hope and desire in preparing ourselves for this game. They’re a very difficult rival, also a great one, and they’re going to be two very difficult matches. We hope that it’ll happen, it’s always going to be a dream to be in those stadiums…as a youngster you’re always looking to the television…I speak a lot with Di María, I have a good relationship with him as a person, he’s a great guy. I see him very little, but those are the friendships that are always with you and he’s a great person.”
(Amazing goal in the Copa). “A goal always makes you feel great, more so in a final that allows Málaga to qualify. I have to continue training and wait for my opportunity. That night after the match many things ran through my head, I had a great time, but that’s now in the past.”
(2011). “A little bit of everything happened, let’s hope that 2012 can be much better and what has happened is now in the past and we look forward.”
(Atlético de Madrid). “I had Simeone at River. He’s an excellent trainer, a professional who demands a lot and everyone at River had a great tournament with him. I owe Simeone so much because he made me realise what each player can have, therefore I’m so appreciative and wishing him the best. I would love to chat to him for a bit, as well as the physical trainer – Ortega, who was formerly with Málaga- as they’re great people. I have many teammates and friends at Atlético de Madrid, such as Falco, who’s a great person.”
(Personal). “Let’s hope that I can have some minutes and get back to playing for Málaga and continue thinking about winning for Málaga. Let’s hope that I’m in the manager’s plans, I’m focused on Málaga and I’m extremely grateful for the love of the fans. My idea is about continuing to Europe and being with Málaga, my dream’s there and we’ll move forward as time passes.”
