After a week off for Christmas, Málaga CF got back to work this Thursday with an hour and a half’s afternoon session at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium. The Sporting Director, Antonio Fernández was present.

The team prioritised ball work and shooting at the goal in pairs, after having carried out jogging and round exercises.  The squad then underwent possession exercises and matches on a reduced pitch.

A total of 24 members trained at a normal level under the orders of Manuel Pellegrini.  With the green bibs were Toulalan, Juanmi, Recio, Duda, Van Nistelrooy, Camacho, Isco, Mathijsen, Gámez and Monreal; with the red bib, Edinho; and without bibs, Portillo, Rondón, Sánchez, Seba, Apoño, Buonanotte, Weligton, Demichelis, the unallocated defender, Javi Malagueño plus Enzo Maresca now back on top form.  In addition to these 21 players were the goalkeepers Willy, Rubén and the reserve, Pol.

The Danish centre, Kris, was out with gastroenteritis; also away were Joaquín, Cazorla and Eliseu, as they were participating in the ‘Champions for Africa’ benefit.  Similarly, Rosario remained in the gym, whilst Baptista continues his specialist recovery treatments away from the group.

Tomorrow at 10.30, Málaga will train again at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium.
