Málaga CF Femenino defeated Cádiz CF Femenino by 5-0 with two goals from Edna, plus more from Carol, Pamela and Arantxa. The Malaguista squad played a very complete game to bring an end to the pre-season friendlies.
Hardly any time passed before Málaga took the lead. It was in minute 4 thanks to a superb goal from Edna, debuting in the starting-11 as a Malaguista goal-scorer. The locals remained solid against Cádiz and 10 minutes later Carol increased the lead to 2-0. The striker propelled the ball into the back of net following a perfectly executed pass from Claudia. The Malaguista defence blocked the intentions of the Yellow team and in 34’ Edna gained possession after an individual action to make it 3-0 by half-time.
In the second half, Inés came on in place of Noelia Gil to defend the Blue and White goal for the next 45 minutes. The Malaguista defence stayed strong and the girls kept a clean sheet. In 78’, after not converting a penalty, Pamela went on to score the 4-0. Málaga dominated and in 85’ Arantxa, thanks to a cross from Judith, scored the final 5-0.
With this result, Málaga CF Femenino ends their calendar of pre-season friendlies and enters the league dynamic. They will be heading to Badajoz next Saturday to face Santa Teresa on 8th September from 12:00.
