Training
Back to work at the Ciudad de Málaga

The Malaguista squad was in training for an hour and a half this morning, in the first of two sessions today, on the return to work following the pre-season stage in Holland.

The Blue and Whites’ players kicked off the session with a physical circuit inside the sports stadium. They later stepped on to the pitch wearing trainers to undergo progressive running exercises.

Right-winger, Roberto Rosales suffered a minor mishap during training and had to leave the session for a few minutes due to a vagal condition. Luckily, it was just a scare.

Midfielder, Juanpi trained normally alongside his teammates. Homegrown players, Álex Robles, Maty, José Carlos and Mula were in training with the first team this morning, along with reserve team goalkeeper, Kellyan.

Ricca, Ontiveros and Peñaranda exercised in the gym as they continue with their respective recovery processes. Borja Bastón, who is suffering discomfort due to tendonitis to the biceps femoris of his left leg, also trained in the gym today, although he’s expected to be part of normal training this afternoon.

Former Málaga CF player, Albert Luque stopped by the training session to greet the players before they got down to work this morning. The team will resume training this afternoon (19:30) at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium.
