Away win for Atlético Malagueño against Los Molinos (0-1)

The Blue and Whites’ reserve team defeated the Almería-based side by 0-1 thanks to a goal from Venezuelan-born Juan Pablo Añor in the 72nd minute. This victory sees Salva Ballesta’s boys taking the three points from their seventh consecutive win.

Atlético Malagueño continue to grow in the competition, this time against a difficult rival who defended very well during the first half, forcing the ‘Malaguistas’ to focus on long balls.

The Blue and Whites covered the pitch well in the second half, creating more space in the rival defence following the entrance of Samu Castillejo.  Then came the only goal of the game from Juanpi – his eighth this season – following excellent individual play from Ernesto Cornejo, assisting Juanpi in finding the net, showing the Venezuelans’ brilliant technical ability.

Despite being one of the youngest teams in the category, with four ‘Juvenil’ boys in the starting-11 today, the team always shows great character and the ability to read opponents well in difficult situations, often against experienced players, on small or artificial pitches.
