Atlético Malagueño draw against Antequera (2-2), losing points at home for the first time

The blues and whites, who’ve won six out of six home games, lost a point against Antequera in the 13th match of Group IX in the Third Division. Juanfri scored both goals for Atlético Malagueño, whilst Richard and Fausto scored for the opposition.

The match started with a shy approach from both teams, until after the first half hour, Juanfri put Atlético Malagueño in front by one goal to nil.  Within four minutes Antequera equalized with a goal from Richard.

The blues and whites had opportunity to score a second goal in the first few minutes of the second half, but neither Juanfri nor Iván Aguilar were successful.  In minute 62 Víctor received his second yellow card, leaving Atlético with 10 men.  Coach Jaime Molina was also sent off for protesting against the decision.  Antequera took advantage of this with Fausto scoring their second goal, with a cross shot from the left.

Atlético Malagueño were looking for a draw, and they almost succeeded with a header from Paco, but it hit the post.  Just before the final whistle, Antequera defender Antoñito was sent off with his second yellow card, for committing a foul against Juanfri.  This spurred Juanfri into action, and he scored the equalizer, leaving the score at 2-2.  Iván Aguilar already had thoughts of victory, but missed his shot after a cross from Samu.

Jaime Molina’s team is visiting Huétor Tájar this weekend.
