Two of Málaga C.F. first team players underwent surgery for serious injuries. Goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo, who five days ago suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee (signed off for 6 – 8 months), underwent surgery performed by Dr. Guillén, without problems, at the Clinico CEMTRO at 14.45 hours. Javier Malagueño also had surgery, at the Clinica FREMAP in Málaga, for a recent torn internal meniscus of his right knee (signed off for 4 – 6 weeks). The operation carried out by Dr. Fernández Medina was a success.
