Artist Lorena Hermoso dedicating a special work for #SiempreFuerte Awards

The Malagueña artist is in charge of the main feature of the MCF Foundation gala. The prize presented to the winners will be her special tribute to the figure of Pablo Ráez, who passed away five years ago.

Pablo left us five years ago. The 25th February 2017 is a very special day for everyone who knew him and felt his energy. Who he was, what he taught and what his figure represents is what Lorena wants to convey with her work. Today, on the fifth anniversary of his death, we wanted to unveil a surprise that awaits us at the fifth #SiempreFuerte Awards and get to know a little more about this Málaga-born artist. An upholsterer by profession, a mother of two and a great love for painting. Lorena Hermoso Peláez is an artist from Málaga born in 1981 who loves to express herself on the intimacy of her terrace.

With brushstrokes of French fauvism and impressionism, portraits are the main focus of her work. Moreover, bringing her inner vision, and relying on her characteristic positivity, her paintings evoke German expressionism. The meticulous use of colour is one of her most representative traits as an artist, always seeking a great visual contrast that provides chromatic force to the canvas.

Lorena sees this gala as an opportunity to show the young talent that exists on the Costa del Sol. With enthusiasm, solidarity, and always #SiempreFuerte, she will represent the legacy that Pablo Ráez left us through her paintings.

As is the norm, the piece she has donated for the gala is not yet known and the painting is surrounded by a typical secrecy that makes it such a long-awaited piece. We can’t wait to see it, Lorena!
