Málaga CF returned to training this Monday at La Rosaleda’s Annexe ground. The latest Malaguista signing, Arvin Appiah joined his new teammates for his first day with the group.
The team stepped on to the Annexe pitch at 10:30 this morning. Following Pepe Mel’s initial technical talk, the starting players from Saturday’s #MálagaTenerife clash (except Genaro, who played the first 45’) remained in the gym to focus on recovery training.
Chavarría underwent treatment for the contusion to his left knee, whilst Escassi had an MRI that confirmed a sprain in the internal lateral ligament of his left knee (pending evolution).
On the pitch undergoing normal training were goalkeeper Manolo Reina plus reserve team keepers Carlos López and Arturo, along with the aforementioned Genaro, Fran Sol, Burgos, N’Diaye, Bustinza, Luis Muñoz, Gallar and Delmás. Appiah was new to the session, completing his first training with the group.
Ramón (specific treatment) and homegrown players Andrés Caro, Cristian and Loren, starters yesterday with Atlético Malagueño, remained in the gym today, along with Moussa and Víctor Olmo who continue with their respective recoveries, as well as Haitam. Lumor is absent (bureaucratic issues).
Tomorrow, Tuesday from 10:30, the team will resume training at La Rosaleda’s facilities.
