Málaga CF Female
An outstanding debut

Four players made their debut on the pitch wearing the Blue and Whites’ jersey, in Málaga Femenino’s first game of the season.

Málaga CF Femenino couldn’t have had a better start to the season. They defeated Atlético Polillas de Ceuta by 0-8, putting them at the top spot of Women’s Second Division Group IV after matchday 1.

As well as being the first victory for Antonio Contreras’ squad in 2017/18, it also saw the debut of various players. Four footballers wore the Blue and Whites’ jersey for the first time with the first team:

  • Marta Aragón: Coming from the Blue and Whites’ reserve team, the winger from Vélez Málaga debuted with the first team against Polillas, stepping on to the field of play in the second half, minute 65, in substitution of María Farfán.
  • Raquel: The recently incorporated midfielder was in the starting-11 in the Malaguistas’ first game. This is the first season for Raquel, who comes from Atlético Madrid Féminas B, to play with Málaga.
  • Sheila: One of the new signings for the 2017/18 season. The striker from UD Levante didn’t just make her debut, she scored three goals and was in the starting line-up.
  • Paula: The under-19s international was also part of the initial-11. Playing a great match, she opened the scoring and added two goals to her personal account with Málaga.
