Juvenil goalkeeper, Álvaro Fernández was again part of Spain’s starting line-up against Mali (3-1), in the semi-finals Under-17 World Cup in India.
The Malaguista goalkeeper played his sixth match of the tournament, and as in previous games, played for the 90 minutes. Santi Denia’s Spain defeated Mali with a scoring double from Abel Ruiz a little before half-time. The Spain captain has accumulated six goals in six games. In the second half, Ferrán scored the 3-0 in 71’, and African-born N’Diaye, in 74’, scored the honorary goal for the rival.
Spain will face England in the grand final of the Under-17 World Cup. The national side is seeking their first crown in this category in the match taking place on Saturday 28th October at 16:30 (Spanish time, GOL), at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan stadium in Kolkata.
