Álvaro Fernández debuts with Robles’ U-19s

The ‘juvenil’ goalkeeper debuts in a list of players called-up to training with Spain’s U-19s, in which the Atlético Malagueño right-winger is a regular fixture.

National coach, Luis de la Fuente called-up the Blue and White homegrown players yesterday for a series of training sessions at the RFEF’s Ciudad del Fútbol (Las Rozas, Madrid).

Álvaro Fernández and Álex Robles will be concentrated with the Spanish team between Monday 5th and Wednesday 7th March, the day when they’ll both return to Málaga.

This is the first U-19 call-up for the Madrid-born keeper, recent U-17 World Cup runner-up in India. The reserve team’s number ‘2’ comes from winning the Atlantic Cup in the Canaries with Spain’s Under-19s.
