La Academia player, Alejandro Robles García, has been called-up by the Royal Spanish Football Federation to take part in the Kazakhstan President’s Cup, an under-16s international tournament held in Astana, Kazakhstan, from 22nd to 26th June 2015.
In this tournament, Spain’s under-16s are in Group A, and will face Tajikistan (22/06 – 2 p.m.) Kazakhstan (23/06 – 7 p.m.) and Kyrgyzstan (25/06 – 4 p.m.). Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Georgia are competing in Group B.
This is the second Spain line-up for Álex Portillo in this category, coached by Santi Denia, following his participation last February in the UEFA U16 Development Tournament held in the Algarve. The Pizarran-born player and the Andalucían team were this season named Spain’s under-16s’ runners-up, a title which they won the previous year.
