Competition kicks off on Friday with the group stage. Málaga CF, in Group A, will come up against Elche CF (10 a.m.), Levante UD (11 a.m.), Córdoba (5:30 p.m.) and FC Barcelona (7:30 p.m.) This last match will be broadcast live by La Liga TV. The top four finishers from each group will qualify to Saturday’s final stage.
This ‘alevín’ team isn’t the only one in competition this weekend. Another team from this category is heading to Garrucha (Almería) to participate in the Garrucha Cup 2015, the schedule of which will be drawn tomorrow, Friday.
Another two teams from La Academia, namely the first year ‘alevín’ and ‘benjamín’ sides, are taking part in the 5th Peña Raúl Baena de Torrox Tournament on Sunday 21st June. In the group stage the ‘alevínes’ will face CD Tiro Pichón (9:30 a.m.) and Ciudad de Granada (1 p.m.), whilst the ‘benjamínes’ will compete against UD Pavía (12:30 p.m.) and another team from the qualifying round (10:30 a.m.) The final phase of the tournament will take place in the afternoon.
