Álex Calvo, called-up by Spain for the Elite Round
The Juvenil winger has received a second call-up from the U-19 national team, led by José Lana. They will face Denmark, Luxembourg and Ukraine in Extremadura from 22nd to 28th March.
Our player Alejandro Calvo Mata, captain of the Juvenil 'A' team in División de Honor, is once again part of an international squad list within Spain’s youth ranks.
Coach José Lana again trusts in the Malaguista winger, who made his debut with a goal in his first game against Norway on 23rd February, and who enjoyed his first minutes with the Blue and White first team on Saturday 11th March at Estadio from Gran Canaria, scoring the equaliser in a commendable individual action.
Álex will be in concentration from 19th March. The Elite Round will be held in the towns of Almendralejo and Villanueva de la Serena (Extremadura) from 22nd to 28th March. Spain will be seeking qualification for the European 2023 championships against Denmark, Luxembourg and Ukraine.
