Adrián: “We still haven’t lost, but we should have won today”

The Malaguista captain analysed the match against CD Mirandés in the mixed zone: “I understand the fans are angry, we are too, but the team showed signs of moving forward”.

Review of the result

“I believe this is a match we should have won. We had it under control, and it escaped due to mistakes we made. We need to learn from them and move forward. We still haven’t lost though. Except for the final few minutes, the team did everything in order to win”.

Hand of the coach

“Pellicer is a coach who has worked with some of us beforehand, he knows us well, we know him well, we know his ideas and what his nuances are. Obviously, the team is responding well, beyond what happened today, which was unfortunate. I convey to the fans that it’s normal that they’re angry, we are too, but the team is doing well and showed signs of moving forward”.

Return to the team and a goal

“It was a goal to put us in the lead. I’ve been out of the team for nearly five weeks because of a fortuitous action. What I like best is to be with my teammates, and luckily today I was able to score. It’s a pity it didn’t win us the three points”.

Response from fans

“We could see in Munir’s case there was a very positive response from the fans. I’m personally grateful as Munir is an important player and when the players are supported it’s much better for them to put on a good performance. I thank the fans and apologise to them. We’re just as angry as they are. We didn’t win today’s match more due to our weakness than anything else. It was a match we should have won, that’s what we were striving for”.
