‘Malaguista’ goalkeeper, Aarón Escandell led the Blue and Whites’ visit to Salvador Allende school (Puerto de la Torre), the second event of the week promoting Blue and Whites’ Values.
Málaga Club de Fútbol, via its Foundation, and in collaboration with la Caixa Social Project, continues to promote Blue and Whites’ Values throughout schools in the Costa del Sol capital. On Thursday there was a visit to Salvador Allende school in Puerto de la Torre. MCF’s third goalkeeper, Aarón was in attendance, along with Atlético Málaga keeper, Chelsea; Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’ from the MCF Foundation’s Social Department; and Yolanda Pérez, CaixaBank director.
As usual, La Academia coach, Rubén Castillo hosted the event, with numerous primary school children present, and stressed the importance of following healthy habits, and gaining a proper education in sport as a fundamental value. The boys and girls, who made a beautiful banner to show their support for ‘Malaguismo’ and the Club, asked the Málaga committee some interesting questions they’d been preparing for days, and enjoyed an unforgettable time.
Towards the end of the event, the Club presented the school with a commemorative poster to mark the occasion. “Young children are true performers, we’ve all laughed a lot. We helped to show them how to continue to grow, and for a professional player to say these things is great for them,” says Aarón. “It’s wonderful encouraging the girls to play not just football, but all sports. It’s a good thing, and little by little more girls will be incorporated into sport,” comments Chelsea.
