A point at the very last minute against Granadilla Tenerife B (1-1)

Málaga CF Femenino took the match level in the final action of play on Reto Iberdrola matchday 14. Aithiara opened the scoring for the visitors whilst Farfán equalised in minute 94.

A very hard-fought point and a lot of faith for Málaga CF Femenino on matchday 14 of Reto Iberdrola, against UD Granadilla Tenerife B in Cártama on Sunday.

Nati Gutiérrez’s girls started to approach Tenerife’s area through lateral crosses and set pieces, whilst the rival filtered passes to their wingers. It was in one of these actions where Aithiara entered on the left wing to beat Lucía with a cross shot (0-1, minute 25). The visitors held on to their lead for the remainder of the first half.

In the second half, the Malaguistas tried to recompose themselves, bringing on fresh players. The team’s hard work kept paying off, including a goal disallowed for Tenerife for being offside and another prevented thanks to a superb save by Lucía in 72’. The closing stages of play were dominated by MCFF, who with the entrance of new players, got closer to the area. The girls’ insistence bore fruit. In 94’, in the last action of the match, Ale got the ball to the area, with Claudia Jiménez assisting Farfán to equalise with a finish a few metres from the goal (1-1).

With this draw, Málaga CF Femenino accumulate four matches on the bounce without defeat, to reach 10 points in Group Sur A of Reto Iberdrola.
