Training

A new week kicks off with two matches

The team returned to training today, Monday at La Rosaleda’s Annexe with the starting players in Almería undergoing physical recovery training.

The Blue and White players stepped on to the pitch around 11am under the orders of Sergio Pellicer. The starting players from yesterday’s clash with UD Almería alternated between work in the gym and stretching exercises on the pitch with trainer, Enrique Ruiz.

Dani Barrio was in goal, along with Juan Soriano and homegrown keeper, Gonzalo. All three goalkeepers trained normally, along with Yanis, Chavarría, Jairo, Escassi, Orlando Sá, Matos and Aarón (without federative registration), reserve team members Juan Cruz, Hicham and Quintana plus juvenil player, Larrubia.

In addition, Benítez, Murillo, Julio, Mario da Costa and Mini, who were in action yesterday with Malagueño, also underwent recovery training along with Benkhemassa, who joined play in place of Calero, who is awaiting complementary tests on the injury to his left knee sustained in Almería.

Central defender Juande trained outside the group, undergoing continuous running and specific work on the pitch under the supervision of physical trainer, Manu Gestoso.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, the second session of the week will take place at La Rosaleda (10:30), then the players will head to Galicia ahead of Málaga CF’s Copa del Rey match against Coruxo FC on Wednesday (15:15).
