On Saturday afternoon at the Francisco Romero ground in Rincón de la Victoria, Juanma Gómez selected the following starting line-up: Andrea; Encarni, Ruth ©, Mérida, Yoli Peche; Marilén, María Cortés, Teté, Farfán; Futu and Monterroso.

The visitors were well-positioned on the pitch from the outset, enjoying a couple of chances to take the lead, particularly with a shot to the post by Fabiola in 11’. Málaga had more territorial dominance, but with little possession of the ball.

Futu, finishing a cross from Encarni in 35', had the only clear Malaguista opportunity in the first half, with a shot near the post. Belén, just before the half-time whistle, put La Solana ahead (0-1, 45').

If the first half was for the visitors, Málaga reacted in the second. Bertuchi, Carmen Gómez and Tati came on to freshen and intensify the Blue and White attack. The equaliser was not far off. María Cortés assisted Futu, who took the match level (1-1, 63'). The seventh goal of the season for the MCFF ‘pichichi’.

Olmedo and Nazaret completed the Malaguista substitutions during the second half, in which Juanma's girls kept insisting for a second goal. Especially, from set pieces with numerous lateral free kicks and corners.

Just before the 90-minute mark, Encarni and Carmen, and especially Luisa Olmedo in the 5^th minute of added time with a shot that grazed the crossbar, came close to scoring the winner with resounding chances.

However, the scoreboard stayed the same, with the 1-1 draw keeping Málaga CF in 5^th place in the standings with 33 points from 19 matches.
