The MCF Foundation’s team ended the Barcelona Phase of LaLiga Genuine in first place of the CAMARADERIE Group, with 234 points, achieving their goal of being the best in values and sportsmanship.
It was a dream weekend for the members of the Málaga CF Foundation’s Supercapacitad@s Football School. The Malaguista expedition arrived in Barcelona last Friday and players Rafa Gómez and Adrián Navarro, representing the team, were present at the opening ceremony of the second phase of LaLiga Genuine Santander in Barcelona.
Yesterday it was time for football and fair play on the pitches at Ciudad Deportiva Dani Jarque. The first match, “against” Fundación Real Madrid, ended with a 3-0 win for the rival and a victory in values for MCF. There was even a special visit by former Blue and White player Adriana Martín. The second match, against FC Cartagena, was also “lost” by 0-3. Yet, in the categories of respect, solidarity and camaraderie our Genuines won.
Today, Sunday the last match took place, ending with the same “unfavourable” result against UD Las Palmas (0-3). As well as twinning with the island team, there was a great deal of friendship and another special visit. That of Miguel Torres, a former Málaga CF player, who was in charge of handing out the medals to the MCF Foundation team.
The Barcelona Phase ended with Málaga Club de Fútbol leading the CAMARADERIE Group of LaLiga Genuine Santander with 234 points. A brilliant result in values and an example that the most important thing is not competing, but sharing.
A dream fulfilled that would not be possible without the MCF Foundation sponsors: Diputación Provincial de Málaga, Malaga Town Hall, Clínicas Rincón Dental, Grupo Limsama, Fundación “la Caixa”, Sanamar Alimentación, PROAMB and the Frigiliana Town Hall.
