In their visit to the second placed team in the group, Josep Clotet’s team showed their determination to win the match from the start, with two clear chances to score from Emilio and Fabrice. The local team kept the Blue and Whites defence on its toes by playing a very direct match, but was unable to score.
The visitors took control of the game in the second half, keeping Martos well away from Pol’s penalty area, and causing trouble for the home team. Despite the nil-nil draw, the ‘Malaguista’ outfit played one of their most complete matches of the season so far.
