A goal by Juanmi led to a victory for the Under-19’s in the Pre-European Championships

Málaga CF striker Juanmi’s goal, saw Spain’s Under-19’s win their first match in the Elite Round of the IX European Championships against Armenia today, Wednesday by 2-1.

Spain has got off to a great start in this competition, taking place in Italy, with the Coín-born striker also the team captain.  Spain were ahead on the leader board thanks to a goal from Suso (minute 64), though Armenia soon found an equaliser, with a goal by Davit Hakobyan (minute 67).  The Under-19’s weren’t happy with a draw in their quest for victory, and Juanmi scored in stoppage time to seal Málaga’s victory (minute 94).
 
Now Spain faces the hosts in two days’ time:
