Málaga CF Femenino in Liga Iberdrola is now a reality. A total of 11 new players have joined the team for the upcoming season in the First Division, with the majority of the Blue and Whites’ squad that achieved promotion continuing to defend the Málaga CF shield for another year. As such, following the announcement of the new signings, Antonio Contreras’ team is made up of the following players:  

Goalkeepers

The Blue and Whites’ goal is defended by three goalkeepers. Joining the already experienced and well-known Chelsea and Alba Hoyas is Stefany Castaño.

Defenders

The Malaguista defence has become a tough wall to break. Málaga-born central defenders Ruth and Postigo remain on the Femenino defence for another year. Next to them, Míriam and Marta Cazalla close ranks. On the right-wing we have María Farfán and the versatile Encarni, who moves between the right and left, and on the left wing, Shiv is joined by Leti and Japanese player, Minori.

Midfielders

The Málaga Femenino midfield has a vast presence of Málaga-born players as well as signings from last season. The following names belong in midfield: Sandra Pérez, Paula Fernández, Pamela González, Raquel García and the newly incorporated Dominika, Mayara and Natalia.

Strikers

The Blue and White goal has first-class names for this season in Liga Iberdrola. Málaga player, María Ruiz will be accompanied by team captain and highest scorer on the squad, Adriana Martín. Joining the goals of Ruiz and Martín are Celia Ruano, highest scorer in the Women’s Second Division in the 2017-18 season, Armisa and Patricia Mascaró.
