23 years since the re-birth of the Blue and Whites

This Monday 4th September marks the 23rd anniversary since the Blue and Whites’ first official match under the new name. Juanma Sánchez scored the Malaguista goal.

Málaga CF played its first official match, under this name, against AD Adra, on 4th September 1994. A team commanded by Antonio Benítez, achieving Second Division B promotion during a season without any defeats.

Blue and Whites’ player, Juanma Sánchez scored Málaga CF’s first goal, following a pass from Kiko Aranda, in the match against the Almería-based rival. Today at La Rosaleda, 23 years later, Juanma and Basti re-live the re-birth of the Málaga team, recalling stories and the best moments of the 1994/95 season.
