Boyko strengthens the Malaguista goal

Goalkeeper, Denys Boyko joins the Málaga CF discipline on loan for the current 2016/17 season.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper, born in Kiev (Ukraine) arrives from Turkish Süper Lig side, Besiktas.  He has a strong physique, 1,97 metres tall, and has been an international with Ukraine’s first team on four occasions.  This summer he was called-up by his country for the recent European Championships, held in France.

Dynamo Kiev marked Boyko’s professional career, and this is where he remained from 2005 until 2013, although he was loaned out to CSKA Kiev (2008), Obolon Kiev (2009) and FC Kryvbas (2011/12).  During the 2013/14 season, he signed to FC Dnipro, coinciding that year with Blue and Whites’ coach, Juande Ramos.  The keeper was part of Dnipropetrovsk until 2015/16, when he signed to Besiktas in Istanbul.

Amongst his achievements, Boyko has won the Turkish Süper Lig (Besiktas, 2015/16), and Ukraine’s Druha Liha (Dynamo Kiev, 2008/09), as well as a continental runner-up title in the UEFA Europa League (Dnipro, 2014/15).
