Sports Management and Scouting

The figure of a sports director has become an essential element in the structure of a professional football club. With an ever-growing importance, the sports planning of the entity passes through their hands. Aware of the significance of this figure and its commitment to the growth of the king of sport, Formación MCF introduces the first edition of the Specialised Course in Sports Management and Scouting. This requires future managers to acquire a set of professional and personal skills necessary for their performance in this role, which is becoming increasingly important and with more executive powers.

The completion of this course will allow students to learn the material, specific techniques and gain sufficient knowledge to perform the functions and abilities of a Sports Director.

The sessions of Formación MCF’s I EDITION OF THE SPECIALISED COURSE IN SPORTS MANAGEMENT AND SCOUTING will be held in eight face-to-face classes, between 28th May and 20th June 2019.

The schedule of the face-to-face sessions will take place from 16:00 until 20:30. The distribution of the sessions will be set according to the following timetable (changes may occur to the distribution or duration of classes within the established time period should it be required).

All classes will take place at LA ROSALEDA STADIUM’S facilities.

The teaching will be structured over seven SUBJECTS. Each one consists of a different number of sessions, depending on the size of the content within the topic and its influence on the role of a Sports Director:

I.Organisational structure of a football club

II.Functions and skills of a Sports Director

III.The Sports Director in grassroots football

IV.Sports Director relations

V.Communication, Marketing and Public Relations

VI.Scouting and AnalysisNew applied technologies

All PRESENTATIONS will be given by speakers with proven prestige in the world of football, and extensive experience in Spanish and/or foreign clubs at all management levels (ex-players, coaches, sports directors, technical secretaries, directors, etc), MÁLAGA CLUB DE FÚTBOL PROFESSIONALS, amongst whom we find:

In addition, there will also be presentations from members of staff from solutions companies including Daniele Monaldy and Paolo Galli from WYSCOUT, and José Antonio Pérez Turpin from DARHFISH.

Necessary requirements for obtaining the Diploma:

•Attendance in classes. In order to pass the course, attendance to at least 90% of classes is obligatory. Any absence, within the permitted 10%, must be justified.

•Passing an exam on all the content taught during the course.

The only pre-requisite for anyone interested in undertaking this course is that they are over 16 years of age.

The limited quota is 50 places. Admission is by strict order of registration.

The minimum number of students per classroom is set at 15.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Interested candidates must pay the registration fee of:

350,00 € (General), and325,00 € (MCF Season Ticket Holders)

via credit/debit card payment, or via bank transfer to the indicated account, within the set dates (the name of the person enrolling must be shown).

Students who register and subsequently decide not to undertake the course, providing it has not yet started, will be reimbursed the registration fee, in accordance with article 102 of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users.
