Málaga CF goalkeeper, Rubén Yáñez spoke to MCFTV in the mixed zone at El Molinón - Enrique Castro ‘Quini’.
During his first evaluation he stated: “Within the situation it’s not a bad result. A point away from home at a difficult ground against a fairly tough opponent is something positive. Yet, we’re not satisfied with one point. We need to start scoring the three points. The team has done a good job which we saw today.”
Asked about what was demanded by Sergio Pellicer from the team, he commented: “He asked us to be strong in defence. We needed to keep a clean sheet and we did it. We showed a good defensive level, we just need to score a goal and get the three points.”
Lastly, he’s optimistic about the future of the team: “Inside the dressing room there’s a lot of enthusiasm, we’re going to give everything we’ve got to turn the situation around.” Yáñez is clear that “we’re going to be stronger at home.”
