Women’s team loses third friendly against Sevilla (3-0)
The Blue and Whites enjoyed a great first half and kept a clean sheet for 55 minutes against First Division side, Sevilla. Homegrown player, Yolanda Peche made her debut in the starting-11.
Defeat for Málaga CF Femenino by 3-0 against Sevilla FC Femenino in a closed friendly – the third for the Blue and Whites this pre-season – held at Ciudad Deportiva del Sevilla.
The Malaguistas had a superb first half with homegrown player Yoli Peche, debuting with the first team, and Luisa Olmedo in the starting-11. Despite the local side dominating the ball in the opening minutes, Noelia had no problems defending the Malaguista goal. The Malagueño attack also came up against the rival keeper on several occasions, with the first half ending 0-0.
During the second half, Málaga dominated until María Bores overcame the defence and scored the first goal of the game for the Red and Whites in 55’. Sevilla reinforced their attack and 10 minutes later, Karpova made it 2-0 for the locals. The match ended with a 3-0 win for Sevilla (Karpova scored again). Despite the result, Málaga played a good game and continues to accumulate good sensations ahead of the start of the regular season.
