Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Weligton Robson Pena de Oliveira attended the National Football Championships this afternoon for the homeless, organised by the RAIS Foundation.  This is a charity supporting people in severe social exclusion, particularly the homeless.  The ‘Malaguista’ captain, accompanied by Basti, part of the Málaga CF Foundation’s Social Department, was present at the final of the competition, held at UD Mortadelo’s ground.  Weligton and Basti also attended the prize giving ceremony, in which numerous teams from all over the country were involved.

Weligton was at the grand final of the National Championships of street football, in which teams from Málaga and Sevilla battled it out.  The match went in favour of Málaga, who went on to take the title.  Both the Brazilian-born player and former ‘Malaguista’, Basti, presented the trophies to the winning teams, as well as medals for everyone who took part, and enjoyed a great day of sport, opened by Julio Andrade, deputy mayor and security, tourism and institutional relations representative from Málaga City Hall.
