Javi Gracia selected a completely different starting-11 for this match against West Ham, to allow all the players a chance on the pitch.  Boka made his debut with the ‘Malaguistas’ today, with the team wearing their yellow strip, with Juanmi, Rescaldani, Luis Alberto and Samuel García upfront to form a strong, mobile attack.

Rescaldani came close to opening the scoring in minute 8 with a header towards the goal following a good pass from Rosales on the right wing, but he missed the target by a whisker.  It was in minute 21 that the Argentine striker put the Blue and Whites in front with an impressive shot from the left wing, after a good display between Juanmi and Boka.

Two minutes later, Málaga CF practically sealed their victory with another good goal.  Luis Alberto took advantage of a pass from Juanmi on the right to slam the ball into the back of the net, straight through Spanish keeper, Adrián’s defence.

The ‘Malaguistas’ continued to dominate play, and Luis Alberto had a chance after 28 minutes to score another goal with a penalty, but the West Ham goalkeeper stopped goal number three.

The Blue and Whites, today dressed in yellow, controlled the game, with the rival generating few goal chances.  The second half remained fairly uneventful for the ‘Malaguistas’, who could have increased their lead with scoring opportunities for Luis Alberto, Santa Cruz and Duda.

The scoreboard remained the same until the final whistle, and Málaga CF won the 1st Schalke Cup following two victories, ending the LFP World Challenge in Germany.
