Left-winger Yanis Rahmani arrives at Málaga CF on loan from UD Almería for the 20/21 season, with an option to buy.
The player signed his contract at the Club’s offices accompanied by sports director, Manolo Gaspar, and will join the team concentration in Alhaurín el Grande immediately.
Training in the Basque Country
Yanis Moloud Rahmani Cordeiro (13/05/1995) is a French-Algerian player who started out in the youth ranks of Athletic Club de Bilbao between 2005 and 2014. His debut at senior level, at CD Basconia, was during the 12/13 campaign in the Third Division.
He later joined Sestao River (14/15), CD Tudelano and SD Leioa (15/16) and subsequently returned to Sestao (16/17) in Segunda B.
Jump in quality with Mirandés
The winger signed to CD Mirandés in the 17/18 season where he made the most of his attacking skills with 10 goals in 30 games in Group II of Segunda B. Mirandés won the regular league and took part in the promotion playoffs, where Yanis scored a goal (four games), but they didn’t manage to move up a division.
The year later (18/19) Mirandés moved up to LaLiga SmartBank, with Yanis playing a key role. He scored eight goals in 35 league matches, playing another five in the promotion playoffs in which the Miranda de Ebro outfit defeated Atlético Baleares in one of the finals.
Liga SmartBank
The 19/20 season saw Rahmani make the leap to the silver division. He signed to UD Almería and their ambitious new project, playing the first two games of the competition. The Andalusian side loaned him out to CD Lugo where he was a regular fixture in the domestic competition (27 matches, 20 in the starting line-up, scoring one goal) last season.
