The Málaga CF players continue training at home as per the guidelines set out by the first team’s coaching team.
Following two weeks of training away from the pitch at La Rosaleda or the Ciudad de Málaga, the physical training plan established for the players will be similar for the next 14 days.
The format up to now and, looking ahead, includes training from Monday to Saturday and rest time on Sunday. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday the players focus on preventive and aerobic circuit training; whilst Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday sessions involve training on the aerobic exercise bike to maintain strength and resistance levels, as well as exercises designed for the upper and lower body.
The goalkeepers undertake the majority of this general training routine plus another more specific plan prepared by Dani Lima, Blue and White goalkeeping coach.
Trainers Julio Rodríguez, Enrique Ruiz and Manu Gestoso will be introducing changes to all physical exercises for the upcoming fortnight, progressing in terms of intensity and with the aim of maintaining overall physical fitness levels and identical weight/body shape the players had before the lockdown came into effect.
