Today is the day. Málaga has a very special date with the solidarity and commitment of the #SiempreFuerte Awards. Despite once again being held under COVID-19 restrictions, it will be another year where emotion and joy will take centre stage.
The atmosphere generated within Museo Picasso Málaga is, in part, thanks to the Malaguista duo made up of Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’, from the MCF Foundation’s Social Department, and journalist Cristina Zumaquero. For the fourth year, the synergy between them on stage will make for an unforgettable gala. In addition, due to the improved health situation, the gala will take place under a more flexible restrictive framework than last year. However, the safety and well-being of all those attending the event will be paramount.
Amongst the guests will be our sponsors, who have shown their faith in the MCF Foundation’s project, making the #SiempreFuerte Awards possible. Cervezas San Miguel, Fundación El Pimpi, Museo Picasso Málaga, IBIMA and Burger King make up the sponsors committed to Málaga.
This year, there will once again be a total of five awards within three categories. The Social Entity Awards 2021, which recognise associations that have stood out for their hard work and contribution to society, will go to Fundación César Ramírez Bisturí Solidario, INPAVI and Debra-Piel de Mariposa. Sarah Almagro, world runner-up in adaptive surfing, will receive the Abdallah Ben Barek Award, recognising her effort, overcoming adversity and the example that she sets for others. Lastly, Dani Rovira, one of today’s most well-known Malagueños and a symbol of our city, will receive the #SiempreFuerte Special Award, honouring his social work, charitable way of life, his responsibility towards the environment and his defence of animals.
