Session at La Rosaleda, with the focus now on Elche

Málaga CF returned to training this Wednesday afternoon at La Rosaleda stadium. A lighter session for the starting players from yesterday’s match in Albacete, with focus now on Saturday’s clash with Elche CF.

Víctor Sánchez del Amo’s team stepped on to the pitch at Martiricos around 6pm, divided into various work groups. On the one hand, goalkeepers, Kieszek, Werner, reserve team keeper Kellyan (new) and Munir, joined the starting players who won last night at the Carlos Belmonte. Everyone, except Cifuentes, who was substituted in Albacete following a blow to the left knee, who underwent continuous running and stretching exercises, as did Fede Ricca, who sustained a blow to the pelvis that didn’t prevent him from carrying out recovery training.

The aforementioned Cifuentes spent a few minutes on the pitch together with physiotherapist, Iván Medina, along with non-physically fit Seleznov. Both, together with Brezancic underwent therapeutic treatment in the stadium’s interior galleries. The left-back, under the supervision of physical trainer, Manu Gestoso, also stepped on to the pitch, outside the group.

Keidi, Iván R., Hicham and Harper were the homegrown players present in today’s training session, that was more physically intense and involved work with the ball for the substitutes and non-called-up players (Juankar and Renato, fit) from #AlbaceteMálaga.

Tomorrow, Thursday from 10am, the Blue and Whites will return to training at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium.
